Hi Gary, nice blog! "Can I Crash Here" is my favourite from this EP rather than everyone else's pick "Molotov Cocktail". The Flys' best single in my opinion was "Name Dropping", should've been a huge hit.

Hi James, thanks for your comment. It was your blog that inspired me to start this.

"Can I crash here" is my favourite as well. I still prefer to "Name Dropping" but very close.

The "holy grail of punk" in my book - I wanted this for 20 years. I found it, then lost it....now I have it again. The lead in "Just for Your Sex" was worth the wait. Thanks!

Any chance you have "something wrong with me" from The Flys?

Thanks for the blog!

Hi Sean I'm afraid I don't have "something wrong" and its one I was unaware of. Do you know what year it was.

All the best

The Flys were originally known as Midnight Circus, but changed their name and formed their own Lama Label. The band features; singer and guitarist Neil O'Connor (Hazel O'Connor's brother ), David Freeman (guitar, vocals) Joe Hughes (bass, vocals) and Pete King on drums. Their Waikiki Beach Refugees LP came out in 1978 and the Own LP in 1979 (both on EMI). For those interested, there's more info on them at The Mod Punk Archive.
