The Vibrators - London Girls ..... Live

It's difficult to pick the first "Vibrators" song to post. They released so many excellent singles (and albums).

Should I post the first? Should I post their best? so in the end I went for the one with my favorite cover.

Released in 1977, two live tracks. Both are good but "London Girls" is the stand out track in my opinion.

Band: The Vibrators
Label: EPIC
Year: 1977
1. London Girls.......Live
2. Stiff Little Fingers.......Dead

Ripped from glorious scratched vinyl:

If you like this then you have lots to choose from, I would start with their classic first album "Pure Mania":
PURE MANIA - THE VIBRATORSPURE MANIA - THE VIBRATORS
or if you just want some of their classics (warning - there are lots of good tracks missing on this):
The Best of the Vibrators
The Best of the Vibrators

Thanks! I'm sure glad to find your site. Looks like we have lots of the same records. I will probably post 'Pure Mania' one of these days as it's an all time favorite!

One of Thee best 'punk' bands ever, fuck what everyone says "band wagon jumpers", "too old" "hair too long" blah, blah, blah. That's the one thing that comes out when reading all the punk history re-write books; just how elitist it all was. Knox is a genuine nice bloke and the most underratted song writer ever, have said this before and will continue to do. This 'ere blog of yours gary is top stuff, a right good format. Now I'm gonna see wots happening at hdvns, take care and KEEP ON BLOGGING IN THE FREE WORLD!

Thanks Nuzz, I'm with you on the Vibrators and in fact anyone else who make good music. If its good who cares what genre it comes from.

You are right there were elitists views around the punk era, and I hate to say it in the late 70's I was in that camp, but now I just appreciate good music.

You will find some excellent postings on hdvns blog.
