Calexico "Live at White Stage, Roskilde Festival" 2000
15 minutes ago
As is the norm I don’t plan on putting anything on this blog that is readily available to buy. I also do not wish to post anything that the artists or owners may not wish me to, so if anyone is unhappy then comment and I will make the required changes.
I'm not a believer in free music, someone has to pay for the artists to keep recording, and I have spent a small fortune myself over the years. So try out some of these MP3 downloads and then go out and buy the stuff that is readily available.

hi gaz yes the crabs were a great band some great tunes never recorded properly ive had a bootleg of them for years live at the vortex 1978 its really good have you heard it
Hi Jamfan, yes I have also got the Vortex bootleg and I love it, but only as 1 single mp3 I was planning on breaking it down into separate tracks. Is yours separate files, if so I wouldn't mind a copy.
I thought that I was the only person in the world who owns a copy of "Farewell To The Roxy". I guess I'm wrong!!
If memory serves (and I'm happy to proved wrong) there is a song on there called "Join The Army and Get Yoursel Killed" which the Cockney Rejects adopted and renamed "Join The Rejects".
Have I got this right or have I gone completely mad?!!
I agree about "Never Wanna Leave", Gary. A classic!!
Thailatic
Hi Thailatic, I have been toying with the idea of posting "Farewell to the Roxy" for sometime, amazingly it does not appear to be on general release. I have it on vinyl and CD and it have always been one of my favourites.
You were right about the track "Get Yourself KIlled" by the Tcikets, this is another classic in my opinion, I remember seeing the Tickets and a friend of friend who was with us nearly got in a fight with them as he was joining the army in a couple of weeks. I didn't know the Cockeny Rejects adopted that song, I will have to look that one up.
Hi gary
Both the original Roxy album and the farewell album are classic slices of punk history, I have them on LP but would much appreciate you posting them if possible as I don't have the chance to play vinyl anymore.
The Tickets often played at the Bridge House in canning town which would have been where the Cockney Rejects got to know then as that was their stomping ground and they "borrowed" the song to use as a basis for Join the Rejects as it's not a straight cover.
I have one request if anyone out there would be so good - 7" single Dangerous Girls by the band of the same name
Great site, keep it up mate
