Another White Boy song from the Bruce Rhodes collection. This time it's their fifth single "Poker Chips". Another catchy song, with some good guitar riffs and the usual strange lyrics and vocals, that somehow work for me. If you follow this link and scroll down you will see a review where they have called this song "a turd", I have to say I do not agree with them at all. The b-side "How safe are you" is Bruce's fave, but for me, I prefer the strange "Poker Chips".
So have a listen and leave a comment to thank Bruce and tell ASFM what you think of White Boy.

Hello again Gary. I wanted to invite you and your readers to my new social network that I have created. It's similar in appearance to myspace (minus all the hormone-crazed teenagers), but it is intended to serve as a hangout for artists, musicians, and music lovers. I have also included a forum category for music bloggers such as yourself to promote their blogs and share updates. If you are interested, here is the url:

I hope to see you there. Take care.

White Boy are definitely an oddball. I ended up buying their singles years ago at the New Rose shop in Paris. I have a 12" as well. Haven't listened in years...
Cheers!
