Pathetix - 3 Track EP (Aliester Crowley)

Another excellent rarity introduced to ASFM by Bruce Rhodes, and as this one is so good, please leave a comment to thank him for sharing. Only a thousand of these released and it goes for a few 'bob' just found one for $83 (too much for me).

I'm not gonna write much on Pathetix as its all been done over on Detour, follow the link for the full story.

This was their debut, self published, home made release (link above will explain about how home made) and what a classic it is. Ever since Bruce sent it, I have been playing it again and again. A three track EP with "Aliester Crowley" the stand out track, the other two are OK but I must admit I have hardly played them as I'm stuck on the a-side. Maybe one of you out there can listen to all three tracks and come back with a more balanced opinion, and leave a comment.

Also, thanks to Bruce, you get the covers and the lyrics on the insert below.

Band: Patehtix
Label: No Good
Year: 1978
Tracks
1. Aliester Crowley
2. Don't Touch My Machine
3. Snuffed It

Ripped from Bruce's glorious scratched vinyl:

Please if any of these don't sound right, then leave a comment, Bruce and myself had some fun with the speeds (one side of the EP is 33 and the other 45, you can guess) and I hope I haven't mixed up any of the tracks with all of the different versions that were kicking around on my PC, I think I uploaded the right ones.

I don't know why this hasn't been released, but someone out there should get this released on a collection of classic punk rarities.

Thanks Bruce/Gary. I'm sure theres a version of the 2nd track "Dont Touch My Machine" on one of my Punk Compilations somewhere on this computer but I don't think its the same as this one. I can't think what one though! Certainly another great rarity there lads. Thanks alot.

Have just won their second single off of ebay. Been on the lookout for this one for a while.

Have you or anyone out there got a copy of the Evening Outs single? I've been searching for that for years.

Hi Rupert congrats on the ebay success.

You now have me looking for the Evening Outs as well.

Worried now, I have more competiton to locate this near mythical slice of vinyl. Harvey Williams who used to be in the Field Mice is hunting for it too.

Hi Rupert, no competition here, I cannot currently afford to spend large amount of money on rare singles, I am more interested in hearing the music. if I can find it, I will post a copy and sell it on to yourself. How about that?

What would you pay for it?
