The b-side 'The Box' is also good, but 'Back To Nature' is the stand out track. Fad Gadget released a number of decent singles such as 'Ricky's hand' and 'Fireside Favourites', but for me this release was his finest moment.
Try it out, and leave a comment to say what you think.
There is one etching on the b-side 'No Comment'.

I've still got this on vinyl, an absolute classic much under rated though.
Thanks for the comment raf, I have never stopped playing this one, and I don't think I ever will. V underated.
I never knew much Fad Gadget beyond The Fad Gadget Singles compilation. It's ordered chronologically, and I used to prefer the songs at the end ("Collapsing New People," etc.). I recently picked it up again and discovered that the songs at the beginning - which you have mentioned - are really the best, especially Ricky's Hand. I like the naive sound of what's supposed to be percussion, particularly the high hat. Once the crisp punch of the Linn Drum was introduced, for me, that was the start of the eighties. My apologies for the dissertation and thanks for sharing.
Hi Flipdraw thanks for taking the time to comment, much appreciated,
I love everything by Fad Gadget, but you described it perfectly, there is something about the simplicity of the earlier stuff that just always works for me. Once played they are stuck in my mind for ages.
