Black Randy and the Elite Metro Squads second single released on Dangerhouse records in 1978. definitely different this one, with a blend of Punk and Funk. You either love it or hate it, I have not found many people in the middle.For me the standout track is 'Idi Amin', I love that organ riff. I'm Black and Proud (both parts) is a James Brown cover that is more Funk than Punk (I guess you would expect that), but it does grow on you. I Wanna be a Nark is the weakest track in my opinion.
This came in a fold out sleeve and was also available in a couple
of colour vinyl versions (green and orange, my one is the boring black vinyl).So try them out, and tell ASFM what you think of Black Randy
